Lanterns and Hope at Home & Garden Expo

HGE2016 Lotus Lanterns meadowWorks

meadowWorks brings both light and hope to the Home & Garden Expo with intricate floating wish lanterns and a fittingly named sculpture: Hope.

Lanterns are a symbol of hope, and wish lanterns in particular are a sort of material representation of a kind of prayer… (or wish). So since the HGE sims are all named Hope this year, I decided I should make lots and lots of lanterns.

There are 5 colors: pink, purple, blue, peach, and yellow
3 sizes S,M,L
and 2 versions rotating (R) and not,
so that’s 30 lanterns to sprinkle around.

Why so many in the box… well, depending on how good your build/modify skills are, you might appreciated the different sizes and rotation scripts, but if you are skilled you can ditch the extras.

No rule says they have to be used as floating lanterns on water. you could toss them across your lawn or pretend they are magnolias and stick them in a tree or whatever.

HGE2016 Swan Lanterns meadowWorks

The idea for the Rice Paper Lanterns shaped like swans hails back to the earlier Random Acts of Swan-ness and they are now ready to float gracefully on your ponds and pools, illuminating the gardens.

There are 2 versions in the box. Two swans linked to a prim with a rotation script in it and just a single swan. They are copy/mod so you can drag out dozens and dozens and dozens to light up your life on water or land.

In addition to the lanterns there’s also Hope, the sculpture that simply had to be brought to its sim namesake. Hope was originally released at The Chapter Four, but it is now available only in Home & Garden Expo where it embodies its title beautifully. Read more about Hope and its inspiration here.

The lanterns are 1 LI and modifiable, so you can resize them as you wish. Remember that when making mesh items larger their land impact rises as well. Hope is 9 LI lifesize.

Don’t forget to visit the gachas at Hope 5 where meadowWorks has brought a delightful Plague of Yoga Frogs upon you!

The lanterns and sculpture are hand-painted, materials enabled, original mesh.

Permissions are copy/modify/no-transfer.

The swan lanterns are 100L, the lotus lanterns 150L,
The Hope sculpture 300L.
All of the proceeds go to Relay For Life of Second Life.

Random Acts of Swan-ness at Lost and Found

Random Acts of Swan-ness

Q. Why swans, why random?

A1. why not

A2. I dunno about you, but I tend to get possessed by certain shapes. It starts as a fascination with a form, then I start seeing it everywhere, start thinking of other things I could do with it, start studying other cultures’ use of the same form, start experimenting with textures and materials the shapes might be made from… and before I know it, I have a GACHA set just waiting to happen.

ergo Random Acts of SWAN-ness! and what better event for them, than Lost & Found?

Grace your Second Life with these swans, let them swim in your ponds (or bath tub!), decorate your house and garden, provide comfort as a bench, bring life and elegance to your surroundings. Whether you wish to make your home more lively with swans or perhaps add a fairy tale touch of a swan royalty turned to stone, this is the gacha for you!

All pieces are new and created exclusively for the December 2015 Lost & Found.

􀀅The benches have 30 animations total. 10 singles female more or less, 10 single male more or less, and 10 couples, all pg cuddles.

Floating Swan Candles are rotating, but if you want to stop the rotation, just unlink them from the root prim then delete it. It’s invisible, so have a look at where it’s located in edit mode before unlinking.

The Floating Swan Candles are bath tub size, but they size up really well, so they are fun for ponds and pools too.

The land impact of the swans varies by piece and ranges from one to five LI. Please note that resizing mesh objects usually changes the land impact.

All the items are hand-painted, materials enabled, original mesh.

Permissions are modify/transfer/no-copy. 1 ultra-rare, 1 rare, 9 commons.

L60 per play.

Aurora Gazing Orb at WLRP Hunt

Imagine a silvery snowy owl spirit enveloping the Earth with its wings. Imagine a shower of particles, of magic, of energy cascading down to our tiny little planet. Imagine looking up to the sky and seeing that magic dancing across the horizon, painting the darkness with colours so brilliant that you can almost see the giant wings beneath them… almost.

The Aurora Gazing Orb is a hunt prize in We Love Roleplay Hunt that is currently going on in the event. The hunt prize costs only L10, but you have to find it first!

The orb is hand-painted, materials enabled, original mesh by Garvie Garzo.

The orb is 3 LI. Permissions are copy/no-modify/no-transfer.

Skull Disc and Skull Cave at We Love Roleplay

Skull Disc

“Skull disc is a part of a set I am slowly putting together based on a mysterious undersea archaeological excavation, called the Hall of Legends. What makes the artefacts uncovered so far so strange is that while they all appear to be ancient they seem to record future events. This piece has the scientists especially stumped, because although they recognize the alphabet, the inscription is nonsensical or in a different language, and the style is unusual.”

Whether you wish to delve into mystery or decorate your wizard’s tower with ancient artifacts, or possibly set a stage for a pirate curse, or mermaid frolicking grounds in the ruins deep in the sea, the skull disc obelisk stands out in ominous silence. What secrets does it hold, what glimpses of the future has it caught?

The Skull Obelisk was found near the loosely named Skull Cave, and since they are believed to be related, they are both offered for this round of We Love Roleplay at 50% off.

The Skull Cave is true to its name, a rock formation bound together with rusted chains, a stone skull resting on top of the arch. Is it the doorway to Death’s domain? Is it a portal to a necromancer’s lair? Is it an elaborately staged warning for the passersby? Enter to find out the truth — if you dare!

If you are interested in the other pieces from the Hall of Legends, here’s what’s been brought to the surface so far: Legend of the Dolphins | Legend of the Great Event | Fantastic Voyage Stone Tablet | Apparatus of the Ancients | Waterhorse

The Skull Disc is 4 LI and the Skull Cave is 12 LI. Note that if you change their size the land impact will change, too.

All the items are hand-painted, materials enabled, original mesh by Garvie Garzo.

Permissions are copy/modify/no-transfer.

Both the Skull Disc and the Skull Cave are half price for the event duration.
The Skull Disc L100 and the Skull Cave L175.

MadPea’s Return of the Light at the Arcade

Garvie Garzo, the creator behind meadowWorks, has also a secret identity in the MadPea Productions and was strongly involved in the creation of MadPea’s gacha set for this December’s Arcade: Return of the Light.

It is the season when the darkness creeps in, days grow shorter, light wanes, and the absence of sun is painfully felt. Therefore it has also always been the season to bring the sun back. The need for this, the inescapably felt rightness of the ritual has always followed us.

The gacha set provides you all the needed ingredients for the ritual, whether you want to combat the dark in strong, sharp symbols, praise moon for its nocturnal alleviation or call back the sun. The commons are divided between moon and sun and consist of swords and ritual ingredients. The rares offer you an ancient stone circle and an altar for the ritual, completing the set. The set is interactive and just waiting for you to take part in the magic. This is an absolute must-have for any roleplayer, but also for any friend of beautiful craftmanship of esoteric paraphernalia.

Permissions are no-copy/modify/transfer.

Price is L50 per gacha pull.

Octopus Path Lights at We Love Roleplay

Octopus Path Lights meadowWorks 1024

Let these octopi bring light into your fall! There’s two matching bronze sculptures, each holding three lanterns. They fit beautifully on a seaside path, by a pool or even in your living room: bronze octopi have learned to survive perfectly well out of water!

The octopi are 4 LI each. Note that if you change their size the land impact will change, too. The lanterns can be toggled on/off by touch, each lantern separately.

To accompany the path lights there’s also a special tablet and a jar for sale in the event, both featuring octopi of ancient civilizations. These are usually a part of a gacha, but for this event they’re separated for sale as no-transfer versions for 50 lindens each.

All the friendly octopi are hand-painted, materials enabled, original mesh by Garvie Garzo.

Permissions are copy/modify/no-transfer.

The Octopus Path Lights are half price for the event duration, L150.

By The Sea Gacha

“There is a true story behind the By The Sea collection. A girl grew up in a very small town/fishing village on the ocean. In the summers when she was a kid she collected beach rocks, bits of driftwood, shells & sea glass, stuck them together, painted some, carved others. Then a few times a week, she piled as much as she could on her bicycle and rode along the highway to the local beaches selling her trinkets to tourists.

Many years later this same girl all grown up now moved back to the ocean where she immediately went right back to sticking bits of driftwood and rocks together again. Except now she uses a computer instead of glue and paint to make them. How wild is that?!”

The By the Sea gacha holds all these driftwood and beach treasures, just waiting for you to find them and bring them home with you. There’s a bench and a love seat for you to lounge on, a table to host all your treasured prizes, wall decor, stacked heart-shaped stones, sea creatures carved straight from the driftwood… with all of this you can easily furnish and decorate your beach abode or summery relaxation area by the sea.

There are eight prizes in total: five commons, two rares and one ultra rare. The vintage wooden mermaid is the ultra rare, the hearts of stone and glass are the two rares, the rest are common.

The driftwood bench and love seat have both single and couple animations: the bench 10 singles and 8 couples, the love seat 11 singles and 6 couples. All of the prizes are rezed in front of the gacha in the main store so you can also test the poses if you wish.

The land impact of the treasures varies by piece and ranges from one to five LI. Please note that resizing mesh objects usually changes the land impact.

All of the wonderful beach-provided prizes are hand-painted, materials enabled, original mesh.

Permissions are modify/transfer/no-copy. L72 per play.
